The Navadurga Lekhana Yajna Sankalpa program of the Shri Hosa Marigudi Temple, Kaup, was held on January 18, 2025, at the Jagannatha Sabha Bhavana of the Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society, in collaboration with the Udupi Industrial Co-operative Society, Gurunityananda Credit Co-operative Society, and the Udupi House Building Co-operative Society Ltd.
Nine women from various co-operative Societies lit the Navadeepa lamps and performed the Aarati for the Goddess. The President of the Badagabettu Society, Jayakar Shetty Indrali, welcomed the gathering with an introductory speech. The Vice President of the Kaup Hosa Marigudi Temple Development Committee, Manohar S. Shetty, explained the miraculous presence and growing sanctity of Kaup Mariyamma.
The President of the Navadurga Lekhana Yajna Committee, K. Raghupati Bhat, elaborated on the methodology of conducting the Lekhana Yajna and its benefits. Geetanjali Suvarna, the Chief Women’s Coordinator of the Navadurga Lekhana Yajna Committee, along with Rajesh Hegde, the General Manager of Udupi Industrial Co-operative Society, Rajesh Shetty, the General Manager of Gurunityananda Credit Co-operative Society, and Ashok Bhat, the General Manager of Udupi Housing Co-operative Society, were present at the event along with the administrative board members and staff of these co-operative organizations.
The Assistant General Manager of the Badagabettu Society, Praveen Kumar, anchored the event, while the General Manager, Rajesh V. Sherigar, delivered the vote of thanks.
