In the program, over 10,000 notebooks worth ₹3 lakh were distributed to students from various Kannada medium schools and colleges in the district. Financial assistance was provided to economically disadvantaged and talented students for their education, and uniforms were distributed to students of Kannada medium aided upper primary schools.
Officials and public representatives who are dedicated to public service must respond to the pain and sentiments of the public at every stage, stated State Minister for Fisheries, Youth Empowerment, and Sports, Pramod Madhwaraj. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Times Connect program, organized by Vijaya Karnataka and The Times of India in collaboration with the Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society.

The BCCS Centenary Marathon 10K 2018 was organized by Udupi District Co-operative Staff and general public for the first time in the history of Co-operative Sector as part of the centenary celebration of the Badagabettu Credit Co-Operative Society, Global president of the Federation of Unions of bantara sangha Harish Shetty Aikala launched the occasion.The marathon took place in 5 divisions, with around 1200 participants participating. Udupi, the prestigious Badgabet Credit Credit Cooperative Society, won the Century’s Great Corporate Honorary Award at the 9th All India Tulu Beltangala Sahitya Sammelan. The award was honored by the Society’s General Manager Jayakar Shetty Indrali.
