Badagabettu Society

The event for distributing free notebooks, health cards, and bicycles to the beneficiaries was organized.

In the event held at the Ammanni Ramanna Shetty Sabha Bhavan, over 50,000 notebooks worth approximately ₹15 lakh were distributed to students from 100 Kannada medium schools and colleges in the district. In collaboration with Lambard Memorial (Mission) Hospital, the “Lambard Health Card” was distributed to 1,900 members of the society, providing convenience to both members and customers. The society also distributed 200 seats to the Dr. G. Shankar Government Women’s First Grade College and Postgraduate Studies Center, Udupi, and 50 seats to the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Youth Association, Chendkala, Kodavuru. Additionally, the society organized a financial assistance distribution program. As part of the Go-Green campaign, aimed at promoting energy conservation and environmental protection, bicycles were distributed to the society’s staff to encourage these initiatives.

The event was presided over by Dr. M.N. Rajendra Kumar, President of the Karnataka State Co-operative Marketing Federation and Dakshina Kannada District Central Co-operative Bank. The chief guests of the event included Shri K. Raghupathi Bhat, MLA of Udupi Assembly Constituency, Shri Lalaji R. Mendon, MLA of Kaup Assembly Constituency, former minister Shri Pramod Madhwaraj, Shri Praveen B. Nayak, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Udupi District, and Shri Purushothama P. Shetty, Coordinator of the Centenary Committee.

The event was welcomed by Shri Sanjeev Kanchan, President of the Society, and the inaugural speech was given by General Manager Jayakar Shetty Indrali. Prior to the main session, Dr. Gananath Shetty Ekkaru conducted an informative session for the attending school and college students. Various entertainment programs were organized by Bhargavi Group of Entertainment and Tanushree Pitrody. Shri Praveen Kumar expressed his gratitude, and Shri Naveen K managed all the activities during the event.
